Governor Larry Hogan and First Lady Yumi Hogan headlined a reception Tuesday, August 1, at The Villa in Beltsville.

Continuing what has become an annual event, Gov. Hogan returned to his home county to meet old and new friends and supporters and help raise over $40,000 for the state and county parties.

In comments to the crowd, Gov. Hogan spoke of several key achievements – 3 balanced budgets without tax increases, a series of fee reductions or eliminations, and efforts to relax the regulatory burden. He reminded us of the importance of electing additional Republicans to the state legislature, particularly in the Senate. In commenting on his popularity, the Governor offered “bad news and good news,” continuing by admitting that “6 percent strongly disapprove. . . , and most of those are running against me.”

Attendees enjoyed the delicious buffet laid out The Villa’s catering staff and great Caribbean flavor music by the youthful CME Trio. Gov. Hogan and the First Lady circulated around the crowd and posed for pictures with all who wanted evidence of the good time they had.

We anticipate doing this again next summer. Look out for an announcement!
